UDHAMPUR, Dec 7: District Administration Udhampur today organized a sanitation drive around the Devika Ghat Udhampur. Elected representatives of Municipal Council Udhampur, officers of different departments, students and scores of people participated in the drive.
While highlighting the importance of maintaining sanitation, cleanliness and personal hygiene, ADDC Ashok Kumar appealed all the participants to keep their surroundings clean and also motivate others in maintaining the cleanliness.
He called upon the public for discarding the use of polythene, maintaining hygiene, eliminating open defecation, keeping water resources clean for a holistic clean environment in the district. ADDC sought cooperation of general public to generate awareness among the masses regarding cleanliness. |
