JAMMU, Dec 8: Teams of Drugs Control Officers conducted simultaneous raids at the medical shops situated at B.C Road, Rehari Chungi & Gandhi Nagar Jammu.
The raids were conducted to ascertain the mechanism of supply/sales pattern of these Pharmacies. The Proprietor of these shops failed to explain his action, therefore the Drugs Control Officers concerned disallowed the operations of these pharmacies with immediate effect by invoking provisions of Section 22 (1) (d) of Drugs & Cosmetics Act, 1940.
The trade fraternity is impressed upon to desist from unfair trade practices of such nature. The Department has warned of dire action against the defaulters. |
