SHOPIAN, Dec 8: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Shopian Choudhary Mohammad Yasin who is also the chairman of Vidyalaya Management Committee today chaired a meeting to review the working of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyala (JNV) Aglar Shopian.
The meeting approved revised estimates of Rs 14 crore for seven buildings of JNV. Threadbare discussions were held on various issues like arrangement of potable/drinking water facility, arrangements of counselling, installation of Solar water heater in JNV campus, arrangement of ATM facility, increasing of registration of JNVST- 2020, providing broadband and landline facilities from BSNL, installation of CCTV Cameras, organisation of medical camps in Vidyalaya, formation of School Safety Advisory committee etc.
The Member Secretary highlighted the objectives of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti for establishing Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Shopian and its achievements since its inception with respect to Academics, Games and Sports and Cultural activities.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Deputy General Manager, JKPCC, Principal JNV, Area Welfare Officer, and other concerned officer's/officials were present in the meeting.
