Jammu, Dec 13: The department of Urdu, University of Jammu is going to organize two day National Seminar on 16th and 17th of December 2019 on the topic "The Contribution of Non-Muslim poets of Jammu and Kashmir in the development of Urdu Language and literature". The seminar will be inaugurated by Vice Chancellor of university of Jammu Prof Manoj Kumar Dhar in the Brigadier Rajinder Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu. This was informed to the media by Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik, Dean Faculty of Arts and HOD Urdu. He informed that Non-Muslim poets and writers of Jammu and Kashmir had played a vital role in the development of urdu language a and literature but their role has not been discussed widely. Keeping in view the importance of the topic, seminar is being organized in the University of Jammu. A large number of urdu scholars from different parts of the country are participating in the seminar as Resource persons. They include Prof. Khawaja Ekram Ud Din, Prof. Anwar pasha, Prof. Ali Javeed, Prof. Shahid Pervaiz, Prof. Numan, Dr Ali Abbas from Chandigarh, Prof. Diwan Hanan Khan from NCERT, Delhi, Prof. Farooq Ansari from NCERT, Delhi, Prof. Qumarul Hoda Faridi from AMU, Dr Mushtaq sadaf, A.M.U., Dr Mushtaq Hyder from Kashmir, Dr Asif from Rajouri, Pervaiz Malik from Dharal, Dr. Mohd Mohsin from Delhi, Dr Kouser Rasool from Kashmir. Prof. Shohab further informed that the papers which would be presented in the two day National seminar will be published in a book form so that common people may know the contribution of non-Muslim writers to the development of Urdu language and literature. He said that urdu was never a Language of muslims. It is a Indian language and were spoke before partition irrespective of caste, color and religion. Prof. Malik further informed that on 16th December 2019 evening a All India Urdu Mushiara is also being organized in which Dr Shehresh Asgar ,Director Information will participate as Guest of Honour, various prominent poets within and outside the state are participating in the Musharia . The prominent poets of the country who are going to recite their poetry include Aresh Shahbai.
