Absconder nabbed from Jammu | | | Early Times Report Rajouri, Jan 17: Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri district on Friday arrested an absconder who was evading his arrest in a case of murder registered in 2008. Accused was living in the disguise of a spiritual leader (Tantrik) in Beli Charana area of Jammu. Senior Superintendent of Police Rajouri Yougal Manhas said that a case in FIR 21/2008 under sections 302, 452, 109, 34 RPC was registered in Dharamsal police station. SSP Rajouri said that an accused identified as Purshotam Lal son of Locham Ram resident of Treru was absconding and evading his arrest and all attempts made time and again to nab the culprit remained futile with Court had also issued an arrest warrant against the accused. Meanwhile, a specific information was received by Rajouri police that the accused is living in Beli Charana area of Jammu in the disguise of a Tantrik after which a team of Police Station Dharamsal headed by SHO Amit Singh under the supervision of SDPO Nowshera Brijesh Sharma was deputed and with the help of team headed by SI Pawan Singh Incharge Police Post Beli Charana, a raid was conduct at the suspected location and accused was nabbed. |
