Jammu, Jan 18: Director General Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Government of India has decided to sent five member team of doctors from prime health institution of Delhi and Pune to investigate into the mysterious death of children,s in Ramnagar block in Udhampur District of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. As per the details available with Early Times, on the request of Principal Secretary Health and Medical Education Department, the government of India today issued the order for constitution of five member team of doctors viz Dr. Sumit Mehndiratta , Specialist Paediatric, Safdarjung Hospital New Delhi, Dr. Mahesh Waghmare, Deputy Director Microbiology, National Center for Disease Control Delhi, Dr. Suneet Kour, Assistant Director Epidemiology, National Center for Disease Control Delhi, Dr. Shilpa Tomar Microbiologist NIV Pune and Dr. Avinash Deoshatwar NIV Pune. The team of doctors according to the official sources will reach Jammu tomorrow and will report Director Health Services Jammu and Dr. Dr. Mahesh Waghmare will coordinate the team,s activities. As per the order of Government of India, the team will assist UT Health Department to investigate the cause of paediatric deaths and the team after completion of their activities will report to Director General Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Government of India. The government of India has also ordered several senior officials to extend the help to the government of Jammu and Kashmir over the issue of mysterious deaths of children,s in Ramnagar block of Udhampur and the intimation of the same has also been conveyed to all those officials at the level of government of India as well UT of Jammu and Kashmir. |
