| Mayor JMC kick starts development works | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 20: Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Chander Mohan Gupta today conducted an extensive tour of Ward No.71 in the areas of Sidhra & its surrounding localities.
Mayor started the construction work of various drains & lanes as well as other protection work of Ward No.71 at the estimate cost of Rs.10.50 lacs which will be executed by Engineering Wing of Jammu Municipal Corporation.
This was the long pending demands of inhabitants of Sidhra area. He directed the Engineers to complete the said development works with quality material and upto the satisfaction of inhabitants and assured the gathering that all the remaining development works of their ward will be taken up on priority basis as the deptt. has started the development activities in each ward with the active consent of concerned Councillor & general public.
He also appealed them not to throw waste, Mulba, garbage etc in the public lanes & drains, Plant more & more saplings in & around their localities to make the environment eco friendly, avoid using plastics & polythenes and cooperate with the Jammu Municipal Corporation in Swacch Bharat activities being undertaken by the deptt. |
