RAJOURI, Jan 22: District Level Centre for Women organises Awareness Rally under a week long Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign at District Headquarter Rajouri.
ADC, Sher Singh flagged off the rally in presence of Deputy Director Planning Mr. Bilal Rashid Mir, Chief of NYC Rajouri, Women Welfare Officer Anum Mirza, Sanjana Thakur (Dist. Co-ordinator of MSK), Nazma Sheikh (Dist. Co-ordinator of MSK) and various teachers from different schools.
Around 700 students both girls and boys participated in the rally.
The ADC said that the objective of organising such rallies is to make people aware about the importance of girl child in the society besides bringing about an attitudinal change among the people about the girl child.
Deputy Director Planning stressed upon the need to understand the role of parents and teachers in ensuring that the girl gets proper upbringing, education and all facilities for their overall development and emancipation.
Women Welfare Officer DLCW, Anum Mirza exhorted upon the people to take optimum benefit of schemes envisaging empowerment of girls for a flourished and prosperous society.
Later, MSK organized oath ceremony at Himalayan Degree College Thandikassi under BBBP campaign. |
