RAJOURI, Jan 24: The patients visiting to get their blood tests, Ultrasound, X-ray have been facing difficulties as the diagnostic laboratories are on the second floor but lift has been dysfunctional. The lift was installed in 2008-09 but since then it has remained dysfunctional. The critically ill patients and people with head or spinal injuries, who require to undergo an MRI procedure have to be carried on a stretcher or on a wheelchair through the stairway, which exposes them to more risks. They appealed the LG J&K and the Commissioner Secretary to intervene and make the lift functional, locals said. |
