| Stormwater drainage to be major developmental focus in Srinagar in coming fiscal | | Drainage project worth Rs 25 crore being taken up soon to start with: DC Srinagar | |  Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Jan 28: Strengthening of stormwater drainage network is going to be a major developmental focus of administration in Srinagar this coming fiscal.
To start with the district administration in association with the Srinagar Smart City Limited or SSCL is spending Rs. 25 crore to strengthen the drainage network in identified areas of the city.
The concerned department has been asked to submit a detailed project report for construction or upgradation of drainage which will address shortfalls and help redress concerns in this regard.
It should be noted that the amount and the proposed project is in addition to 14 crore rupees released in this current fiscal to the Srinagar Municipal Corporation for strengthening drainage in the city. |
