Jammu, Jan 29: The second Martyrdom Day of Havildar Roshan Lal would be conducted on February 4, 2020, who immortalized himself at Bhimbergali sector while countering with Pakistan in 2018.
The second Volleyball Tournament in the memory of Havildar shall be organised from February 3 at his native Village Nichla of Ghagwal Sub Division. The open the tournament shall be organized on knock out basis and teams are invited for registration without any entry fee.
Darshan Kumar brother of Martyr told that the winner of Roshan Lal Memorial Volleyball Tournament shall be awarded with cash prize of ₹11,000/- and Roshan Volleyball Cup. Similarly, the runner up team shall be awarded a cash prize of ₹7000/- and Roshan Volleyball Cup (Runner up).
The prizes shall be presented by the dignitaries invited by the organizing committee. On February 4, the Martyrdom Day shall be observed in which the kids, youth, senior citizens, punches, sarpanches shall pay tributes at the memorial of the Martyr situated in the premises of Govt. High School Nichola. Sunny Prashar cousin of Martyr said the program shall be concluded with prize distribution and lunch for all on February 4.
