Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 17: National Productivity Council (NPC), Chandigarh (Under Ministry of Commerce and Industry) is celebrating National Productivity week during 12-18 February, 2020. On the occasion a workshop on "Productivity improvement through Lean Manufacturing and Smart Manufacturing (Industry 4.0)" was organised at the conference hall of Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) Jammu in association with MSME-DI, Jammu (J&K). In the workshop following three tools/concepts for improving productivity of industries were discussed, which include smart manufacturing and their implementation, lean manufacturing tools and techniques and their implementation with case studies. The programme was inaugurated by Lalit Mahajan, Presisdent, BBIA, Jammu and while inaugurating the programme Lalit Mahan urged the industries to implement Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques to reduce wastages and improve profitability. SP Singh, Regional Director, NPC, Chandigarh discussed significance of celebrating productivity week and explained different methods of improving productivity in different organisations/industries. |
