Mehta, Chauhan, Hafeez listen to people’s grievances

JAMMU, Feb 17: Finance Commissioner Finance Department, Dr Arun Kumar Mehta along with Commissioner Secretary, Forest, Ecology and Environment, Sarita Chauhan and Secretary, Youth Services and Sports, Sarmad Hafeez today listened to public grievances during a daylong camp, here at PWD Guest House, Gandhi Nagar.
Several deputations and individuals from across J&K including Kathua, Samba, Akhnoor, Reasi, Doda, Ramban, Rajouri, Anantnag, Budgam, Kupwara and Srinagar, met with the Secretaries.
A deputation of bank services aspirants sought early declaration of results of J&K Bank regarding Banking Associate and Probationary Officer posts. They said that the exams for these posts were conducted in 2018 and the aspirants are eagerly waiting for the selection list.
A deputation of physical teachers demanded grade scale of the District Youth Services and Sports Officers at par with the Chief Education Officer and creation of 386 posts of Physical Education (10+2) Lecturers for Higher Secondary School.
A deputation of casual labourers of Forest department demanded regularization of consolidated employees under Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Special Provision) Act, 2010 and said that they are working as consolidated employees in Social Forestry department for the last 20 years.
A deputation from Haddel Doda demanded early clearance of Forest department for construction of link road from Katyara to Kansar via Haddel. They said that the residents of the area are facing many hardships in absence of road connectivity.
