| Bootlegger arrested in Ramban | | |

RAMBAN, Feb 17: Carrying forward it's drive against the menace of Illicit trade of drugs and Liquor, Ramban Police under the leadership of SSP Haseeb ur Rehman, today arrested a bootlegger from Ramsoo naka point and recovered 14 bottles of liquor (750 ml each) from his possession. Giving details of the incident, a police spokesman told reporters that there were inputs from the locals regarding selling of Illicit liquor amongst the youth in Ramsoo area. The information was further developed and a vigil was kept over the activities of some suspicious persons over a period. Today, one of the suspects namely name Pardeep Nail s/o Sahu Dev Nail R/O Tantuli Khunti Teh Mori Bhal Disst Ballangeer State ourissa got apprehended at Ramsoo naka point and the above mentioned recovery has been made from his possession.
In this regard Case FIR No. 08/20 U/S 48(A) Excise Act has been registered at P/S Ramsoo and investigation taken up. |
