JAMMU, Feb 20: A website (www.dishavolunt-eerorganization.in) of DISHA volunteers' Organization was today launched by District Social welfare Officer Jammu, Ajay Salaan. DISHA (Directions for Innovative, social and Humane Activities) is a volunteer based organization which aims at personality development of the youth through community service.
The Organisation has been working very actively on different social and environmental issues since 2014. It has undertaken many initiatives like Save River Tawi Campaign, Green Ganesha Campaign, Plantation drives, Cleanup drives and many other humanitarian activities, in which volunteers selflessly participate and work for the community.
The volunteers include students, scholars, teachers, lawyers, Doctors, engineers and business men who dedicate few hours on weekly basis for the noble cause and participate in the development of the society. |
