| SFV Poonch launches plantation drive | | | Early Times Report
MENDHAR, Feb 20: Social Forestry Division Poonch, in collaboration with District Judiciary organized plantation drive at District Courts Complex Poonch. During the occasion saplings of different species like Cypress, Deodar etc were planted by Principle, District & Sessions Judge Poonch Madan Lal, Chief Judicial Magistrate Poonch Soam Lal, Munsiff Mobile Magistrate Poonch Javed Rana, DFO Social Forestry Naveed Iqbal, various advocates & filed staff of Social Forestry Range Poonch headed by Range Officer, Mohd Hussain. Speaking on the occasion Principal District & Sessions Judge stressed on the need for organizing more & more such plantation drives involving local masses and students so that a general awareness is created among people regarding importance of tree plantation & Forests Conservation for making Poonch clean & green. Participants also lauded the efforts of the Social Forestry Department for organizing such plantation drives. While DFO Social Forestry speaking on the occasion stated that it is one of the series of plantation drive organized this planting season by the Social Forestry Division Poonch in collaboration with District Judiciary involving local masses & students etc. Earlier also similar plantation drives in collaboration with District Judiciary involving employees of different institutions, students & locals were organized at District Hospital Poonch, Gurudwara Nangali Sahib, Govt. HSS Chandak, FPF Complex - City Forest Poonch & ITI Complex Poonch. Besides planting of saplings of different species during these plantation drives, a message was also given to general public regarding importance of planting trees & conserving Forests. |
