R.S. Pura, Feb 20: Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) Unit of Govt. Degree College, R.S Pura celebrated "Matri Bhasha Diwas".
The programme was held under the guidance of Dr. Sunita Sudan, Principal of the college and supervision of Dr. Ajay Singh Dadwal, Nodal Officer, EBSB Unit. The celebration of the Diwas was based on Dogri language and was organized in collaboration with Department of Dogri.
The proceedings of the program was conducted by Professor Sheetal and started with the lighting of the lamp by Dr. Sunita Sudan. The program was initiated by the keynote address by Professor Nazia Chowdhary, HOD Dogri in which she highlighted the importance of Dogri as our mother tongue. Following her address, three students namely Mansi, Anjali, and Sanjeev spoke on Duggar as region, Dogri as language and Dogre as people respectively. A beautiful Dogri was presented by Deepak Dogra depicting the importance of our mother language Dogri. At the end Pankaj recited a Dogri Poem of Pt. Ram Nath Shastri titled Dogri. |
