Udhampur DDC reviews progress on Highway four laning project

UDHAMPUR, Feb 20: District Development Commissioner, Dr. Piyush Singla today reviewed progress on National Highway four- laning project along Udhampur–Chenani stretch, here at a meeting of officers of concerned departments and representatives of NHAI.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Gurvinderjeet Singh, IAS Probationer, Faz–Lul Haseeb, Xen TLMD, Tehsildar Udhampur Mohit Gupta and other Officers/ Officials of concerned departments, besides representatives of NHAI. Detailed discussion was held on the issues related to Land acquisition, shifting of HT Towers and other utilities and their re-installation and developing suitable environment for construction work.
While reviewing the progress on shifting of HT Towers and lines, proper protection of towers and other utilities including their reinstallation and developing suitable environment for construction work was stressed upon. A joint committee for conducting regular inspection was constituted. The DDC directed the executing agencies to complete the execution work of KP-86 and J-55 by March 31, 2020 and that of J-39 by April, 10, 2020.
