Whose Kashmir?
2/21/2020 12:03:58 AM

Omkar Dattatray

By the way whose Kashmir is it on which there is so much of noise nationally and internationally? Not only in the noise but India and Pakistan had indulged in three wars and kargil incursion. In fact it was Pakistan which had thrusted three wars on India but that country had faced defeat and humiliation each time. Kashmir or for that matter Jammu and kashmir does not belong to Abudallas, Mufties and Geelanies but to the 137 crore Indians and they can give any sacrifice to retrieve Pakistan occupied Kashmir with India. Kashmir is in news these days due to the unwarranted remarks of the secretary general of the UNO in Pakistan. UN chief has recently said in Pakistan that he is concerned for the situation in Jammu and Kashmir and he has offered to intervene and mediate in Kashmir. But India has unequivocally stated that Kashmir is the integral part of India and it shall remain so for all times and there is no question of any third party mediation on Kashmir. It is the consistent stand of India that Kashmir is the bi-lateral issue between India and Pakistan and there is no question of any third party intervention and mediation on Kashmir. UN chief Antonio Guterres has further said that Kashmir issue be resolved in accordance with the security council resolutions and this remark of the secretary general negates the stated position of the UNO wherein the resolutions concerning the Jammu and Kashmir are now redundant and impracticable as much water had flown the river Jhelum and the clock cannot be turned back. Moreover India has stated again that if there is any issue between India and Pakistan it is about the forcible and illegal occupation of a part of Kashmir. India, its government and the people are bound by the important resolution of 1994 which resolves that Kashmir is the integral part of India and it also says that government will take steps to retrieve the Pakistan occupied Kashmir which is under the forcible and illegal occupation of Pakistan. The time has now come that the occupied Kashmir is retrieved and made a part of India in accordance with the letter and spirit of the parliament resolution of 1994.Therefore for the operationalization of the important resolution of the parliament the necessary steps should be taken to annex the occupied part of Jammu and Kashmir for the lasting solution of Kashmir problem. The strong willed government of Modi can and should take steps to integrate Pakistan occupied Kashmir with India. The way Modi government has taken bold decisions one after the other reinforces hope that the government will take necessary steps to integrate the occupied part of Jammu and Kashmir in the national interest. Modi has got a strong mandate and he can take necessary steps to annex Pakistan occupied Kashmir and there is no doubt about this. Recently Turky has unnecessarily meddled in Indian affairs and India has given a befitting response to that country. India wants resolution of the controversial issue of Kashmir to be resolved bi-laterally between India and Pakistan in accordance with the Shimla agreement of 1972 and the Delhi Declaration and is of firm stand that there is no question of third party mediation on Kashmir. India has rightly that UNO should use its good offices to force Pakistan to stop cross boarder terrorism and also to stop to export terrorism to India and in this lies the good of all and the south Asia and Indian sub continent. All steps should be taken to stop violation of the cease fire as Pakistan is indulging in ceasefire violation routinely and for permanent peace ceasefire violations should be stopped forth with. Any way Pakistan occupied Kashmir should be freed and integrated with India and this is the challenging task for the country
