Police arrests JeM OGW, recovers incriminating material in Budgam | | | Srinagar, Feb 21 Police on Friday arrested an alleged Jash-e-Mohammad (JeM) Over Ground Worker (OGW) and recovered incriminating material from his possession in central Kashmir district of Budgam. A senior police officer told that following specific information, a checkpoint was established at Khansahib in Budgam. "A person identified as Saqib Ahmad Lone was intercepted at the checkpoint and during his checking police recovered incriminating material from his possession. "As per police records, Lone is involved in assisting the active of proscribed outfit JeM operating in the areas of Khansahib," he said. "The accused is involved in providing logistic support, shelter to JeM militants operating in the area," he said. "A case under relevant section of law has been registered in Police Station Khansahib and further investigation in the matter is in progress. Incriminating materials recovered from his possession have been taken into records to probe his complicity in 'terror' crimes," he added. |
