2 cops injured in accident, airlifted to GMC Jammu

Kishtwar, Feb 23: In yet another accident on Banderkoot stretch of Kishtwar-Anantnag National Highway, two Police Constable were injured after the vehicle in which they were traveling meet with an accident on treachery curves of the road— considered as deadly area wherein hundreds of accidents claiming the lives of innocent people in last over two decades.
As per the details available with Early Times, the tragic accident took place at around 2.30 PM when a Wagnor bearing Registration No. PB10DB-8640 was on its way towards Kishtwar— while reaching near Bhanderkoot, it rolled down from the road resulted into injuries to two person who were later identified as Constable Fayaz Ahmed and Mohammed Yaqoob both Residents of Marwah.
Both the injured were immediately rush to District Hospital Kishtwar by the police and the locals who rush to the spot after witnessing the accident.
The injured after receiving treatment at Kishtwar were airlifted to GMC Jammu for advance treatment.
The Doctors at District Hospital told the Early Times that the condition of both the injured cops is stable but keeping in view of back injuries and non availability of MRI facilities at District Hospital Kishtwar as a result of which the family members of the injured cops requested for shifting of both who were later airlifted to Jammu in private chopper service providers “Pawan Hans” .
It is pertinent to mention that 3KM alternative road to avoid the deadly stretch of Girinagar to Banderkoot bridge is under construction since last over a decade and is yet to be completed mocking at the executing agencies.
