ASKPC demands advance cash relief | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 1: Covid-19 and consequent nation-wide lock down has laid down its impact on the vulnerable KP community especially those living in hostile conditions prevailing in the govt. provided accommodations at Jagti, Nagrota, Purkhoo and other such places. While exhibiting their loyalty, patriotism and obedience to the issued advisories especially to the PM's appeal for maintaining distant social contact, KP's are effected disproportionately as regards their functioning of economic activities. Lockdown has brought severe economic stratum to the community families whose sustenance runs on meager daily income. Ration slips to the eligible families for 2020-2021 are not issued and there arises apprehension of starvation. ASKPC urges to the concerned that alternate arrangement of supplying ration to such beneficiaries is made by making due supplies reach at the door steps of all such families in advance for 3 months and ASKPC also appeals to the relief rehabilitation deptt. for release of advance 3 months cash relief into the relative bank accounts. While govt. Under needed sanitization drive has initiated measures like fumigation, cleanliness and spraying of virus killing solutions/chemicals, ASKPC urges for extending all such drives into the areas where KP cluster families (govt. and private) are living.
