AAP criticises JMC for inadequate measures | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 5: Expressing dissatisfaction over the measures being adopted by the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, the J&K unit of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said that the steps taken so far are insufficient keeping in view the gravity of the situation. In a press statement issued here today, the AAP Leader and a social activist, Gurmeet Singh said that the people of Jammu city like other parts of the country are also staring at the threat posed by Covid-19 pandemic. Singh said that the Jammuites are looking anxiously towards JMC at this crucial juncture adding that people look forward to it for putting up sustained efforts to contain the spread of deadly virus but the response of the local body so far cannot be described as effective as it should have been. He said that the JMC need to pull up its socks to counter the threat to combat deadly COVID-19 virus with a detailed outlook and futuristic plan. Singh said the outbreak is so fast and there is no room for any laxity in planning and executing strategies to combat COVID-19 as it is not a routine matter.
