Jammu, April 6: Who shall be responsible if any female or starving or helpless person and including the females commit suicide due to the havoc which they are not able to face die or commit suicide, mostly those who have lost work/job due to Lockdown in any corner of the country. Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has to answer this question to the entire Nation one day, asked Prof. Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of J&K National Panthers Party.
He said that among those women worst hit communities or groups due to Lockdown are the poorest females of the country. Females working as domestic helps, beauty parlour workers, pan sellers have totally lost work/job as all working places throughout the country have been closed due to the Lockdown imposed by Union Govt. It is worth mentioning that these jobs are generally taken up by females belonging to SC, ST, OBC, poor and other weaker sections of the society.
There are heart rending reports from various parts of the country that this sudden unemployment has shaken their faith have become jobless/workless and some females are being dragged/forced to take up immoral means and methods for their survival. The claims of the govt. of providing food at every door are a cruel joke in a country where there are remote villages taking hour and days to reach on foot, as these are not connected with roads.
Panthers Party leader said that there are other categories of people who have also been made jobless due to Lockdown in the country. These include barbers, shoe makers, cobblers, shoe polishers, plumbers, panwadis, mechanics, tyre pancher shops, DTP operators and typists doing per page job work and many others may also be compelled by such circumstances to become criminals if immediate steps are not takens to ensure security to their life with dignity. This havoc may have forced jobless females to go for prostitution for their survival.
He demanded an immediate financial package of not less than 20,000 INR per affected person of above mentioned or such categories failing which the Nation shall be compelled to hold Prime Minister responsible for any wrong steps including the above mentioned taken by the victims of Lockdown under this havoc.
Panthers Party Chief had online discussion with several political and social leaders from different parts of the country. He also sought their opinion as to what needs to be done to save those females from this disaster. Several friends from different parts of the country have forwarded their suggestions. Among those who forwarded their opinion, Sanjoy Sachdev a renowned social activist in Delhi has forwarded many proposals which shall be forwarded to the Prime Minister.
NPP Supremo pleaded with the Prime Minister of India to hold earliest byline discussion with the women representatives in the Parliament and other areas on this subject to save the affected women due to Lockdown by providing immediate alternate work/job for their survival.
