| Labour, Employment department counsel interstate migrant labourers | | |  Early Times Report
Ramban, April 6: Department and Labour and Employment jointly counselled the 82 interstate migrant labourers at Banihal and Khari area of district Ramban.
Assistant Labour Commissioner (ALC), Rakesh Arora and Assistant Director (AD) Employment, Naresh Kumar besides Employment Officer were present on the occasion.
They make the labourers aware about the COVID-19 pandemic besides safety measures and precautions to be observed in tackling the deadly disease and also help in alleviating the mental stress among the labourers and dispel the fear psychosis, if any in them.
ALC asked all contractors and employers to follow the instructions issued by the government for wages of the employees/ workers during the period of lockdown. He further said that if any employer force labourers to leave the premises and not provide shelter to them, he will be liable for action under the Act. |
