Jammu, June 4:
An encounter broke out between militants and security forces in Kalakote area of Rajouri district on Thursday evening, police said.
“Encounter has started at Mehari area just 2 kilometers away from Kalakote town, in District Rajouri. JKP and Army are on the job. Further details awaited,” a senior Police officer told Early Times.
A police official said the encounter began after forces launched a cordon and search operation in the area following inputs about the presence of militants there.
