Jammu, June 4: NCP president J&K UT Kamal Gupta has said that the large majority of people from Jammu province casted their votes in favour of BJP for formation of government. The people had high expectations from BJP with regard to development and to rectify the callous attitude of previous leaders towards jammu region and wanted end of discrimination, unfortunately the hopes proved unproductive and contrary, he said. Gupta said that the performance of BJP J&K unit proved as the mostworst period perhaps in the history of J&K which the innocent people experienced and their hopes dashed to the ground. The people of Jammu and Kashmir got a rude shock today with the administration modifying the registration and toll tax on different makes of vehicles purchased or procured from other states in three specified installments—quarterly, half-yearly and annually, he said. “The much flaunted Tawi River Beautification Project, Jammu Gandola, Jammu Smart City and Jammu AIIMS projects taken up under the BJP are turning just illusion than reality. These projects are nowhere near completion. This is not all that Jammu is facing,” he said.
