JKCSNGEU demands continuation of “as is where is” arrangement for Move employees | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 4: J&K Civil Secretariat Non-Gazetted Employees Union (JKCSNGEU) has demanded to continue the “as is where is” basis arrangement in respect of Darbar Movie employees. The Union said that the Government of Jammu & Kashmir has taken a brilliant step by allowing the Secretariat Employees to perform duties on “as is where is basis”, which saved the employees and their families from the threat of corona virus and the step taken by the Government has been appreciated in every nook and corner of J&K. Various delegations of Jammu based employees have approached to the JKCSNGEU expressing their concerns regarding moving of Jammu based employees to Srinagar. Having their innocent families to take care of, they have submitted that they are unable to leave their families in the present distress because of the obvious reasons. Some employees have old age parents which are unable to manage day to day affairs for living during this crisis. Moreover, the current situation does not allow to stay in Estates hired hotels at Srinagar where the food is served from the community kitchen and there is apprehension for spreading of virus as the cases are increasing in hundreds per day. In the above backdrop, it is requested to consider the continuation of the existing arrangement of working ‘as is where is basis’, so that employees of both the provinces may be able to take care of their families and also perform their duties till the situation improves. |
