Jammu, June 18: Jammu region including both rural and urban areas has been facing the higher burden of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) such as liver, heart, neuro, and urological ailments. In view of the rising NCDs burden in the region, New Delhi based Manipal Hospitals has geared up to make people of the state capital aware about the prevention, early detection, and world class facilities available now. Manipal Hospitals will be organising a Multi Specialty E-OPD/Tele Consultation on Friday (June 19- from 11am - 3 pm). The Service will be held in association with Medicare Nursing Home, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. During the E-OPD/Tele Consultation, Dr Vikas Gupta ( Head- Neuro Surgery), Dr Sanjay Kumar (Consultant- Department of Cardio), Dr Randeep Wadhawan (Head- Bariatric and General Surgery), Dr Rajeev Verma ( Head-Hip & Joint Replacement), Dr Shafiq Ahmed (Consultant- Urology) and Dr Manoj Gupta ( Consultant- Liver Transplant & Gastro Surgery) of Manipal Hospitals, New Delhi would provide consultations, through a widescreen (Video) placed at Medicare Nursing Home to patients and recommend local doctors to carry out his recommendations for those patients who need specialised treatment and care there. |
