Say goodbye to Chinese products | | | Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has send a clear message to China that India wants peace but its capable of giving a befitting reply if provoked. The Prime Minister spoke his heart out after the news about 20 Indian soldiers losing their lives in a clash with the Chinese Army in Eastern Ladakh reached national capital. It is for the first time since 1965 that Indian Army has suffered human losses in Ladakh sector. And this fact is perturbing. Unconfirmed reports have claimed that more than 40 Chinese soldiers were also killed during the clash but the government-controlled media of China has maintained complete silence over number of causalities on their side. China’s transgression in Galwan Valley and it claiming sovereignty over it has once again exposed the territorial ambitions of the neighbouring country. China escalating tensions amid COVID-19 pandemic has driven home a point that Communist regime there is an opportunistic dispensation and it can go to any extent to fulfill its designs. It has been proven beyond any doubt that China is no friend and cannot be trusted. China’s brutal assault on Indian soldiers has triggered outrage across the country and the voices demanding boycott of Chinese goods are becoming shriller. People at many places have come out and staged anti-China protest. A few politicians have issued statements urging PM Modi to order a surgical strike against China, while others are demanding that India should not concede even a single inch of its land. The mood in the country seems very clear that even if war breaks out, people are ready, and Chinese dadagiri is no more acceptable. China is asking for a befitting reply and it should be given. India’s desire for peace should not be considered its weakness. A consensus which seems to be building up across the country is that the Indian citizens should stop buying the Chinese products and also stop using the Chinese internet applications. The idea to boycott the Chinese products was first floated by the prominent Ladakhi entrepreneur Sonam Wangchuk. He had stated that if Indians stop using Chinese products it will pinch the dispensation led by Xi-Ping as India is a very big market for the Chinese products. Many people have endorsed Wangchuk’s idea and the process to say no to Chinese goods has already commenced across the country. India is a big nation and if everyone decides to stand by its Army against China, the communist regime, which has thrived by manufacturing cheap and ordinary products, will be left with no other option other than to kneel down. |
