Pvt Schools collecting fees during lockdown, taking extra fee against online classes | | | Early Times Report
POONCH, June 22: Due to nationwide lockdown all the government and private educational institutions are closed since long. Despite closedown of all private educational institutions, the owners are collecting money from parents of their students. According to the sources, “all private schools in Poonch are taking admission fee as well as all other fees like tuition fee whereas no school in Poonch is functioning. If all the institutions are close, then how can school management take fee?, poor parents questioned. On one hand school management is taking tuition fee from the students and on the other hand, they are taking extra amount against online classes whereas there are no proper arrangements for online classes due to poor internet facilities. Parents have appealed to government especially Director School Education Jammu to intervene the matter and provide some relief to them. When put the matter with Director School Education Jammu Anurada Gupta, she said that “Admission is allowed but no fee except monthly tuition fee for this period”. She further said, “I feel bad that parents complain after paying all kinds of fee despite detailed advisory issued. Anyways, I have forwarded the message for necessary action”. She has appealed to all parents that they should not make our job difficult by paying fee not required to be paid. Are schools open? Why are they obeying the orders of schools in violation of Govt orders. She further assured that every child is admitted when schools open. |
