One more Govt employee arrested for running anti-India campaign on social media | | | Early Times eport
Jammu, July 3: Arrest of an employee of Higher Education for running anti-India campaign on different platforms of social media has substantiated reports that many government employees are involved in such campaigns on social media. Credible sources said that authorities have already prepared lists of many such employees but are hesitating to take action against them due to their huge numbers. Furthermore some senior officers in the administration are also shielding these anti-employees with one way or other so such employees are running anti-India campaigns without any fear of the authorities. Reports said that an employee, working in the higher education department was on Friday arrested by Cyber Cell J&K police for running an anti-national campaign on social media. As per the official handout, a person identified as Tahir Nazir Shalla who is working in the higher education department was arrested for posting the stuff on social media, which as per the police was in contravention of social media policy for the government. The accused was circulating highly seditious and provocative posts through his social media accounts, which were highly prejudicial to maintenance of law and order,” J&K Police Cyber Cell said.
