Early Times Report Jammu, July 10: Former Minister Thakur Randhir Singh has demanded setting up of dry port through SIDCO at village Forlan in Ghatti area of district Kathua. In a statement, Singh said that government land is available in Forlan village and the government had also started land acquisition process but instead of completing the process the government has decided to establish the port in Samba, where private land would be acquired. “Patwar Forlan is a right place where a big industrial hub has been set up by acquiring thousand acres of fertile land on the national highway as this place was visited by Lt Governor, his advisor K K Sharma and DC Kathua with revenue team many times and owners have also consented to give their land as approached by the revenue people”, Singh said and appealed the prime minister to issue directions for establishing the dry port at Forlan, Ghatti. |
