BMS oppose amendment in labour laws | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 10: A deputation of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) today called on Member Parliament Shamsher Singh Manhas and opposed amendment in labour laws. According to press release, the delegation was led by Subash Verma state President BMS along with Ashok Choudhary General Secretary Harbans Choudhary, Chuni Lal and Ravi Kumar. They apprised the MP about anti-labour policies being pursued by the Central Govt and emphasized upon the government to desist from adopting ordinance route for enhancing duty hours to 12 hours daily and keeping in absence main labour laws for 5 years. “Such acts will deprive the workers from their legitimate rights archived through long struggle and duly passed by the parliament and brutally mass privatisation of profit oriented public sectors”, they said. The MP gave patient hearing and assure that he will took up the matter at appropriate forum. |
