Early Times Report

Jammu, July 12: Jammu and Kashmir has been witnessing a steady rise in COVID-19 deaths with more fatalities being reported and more severe cases with bilateral pneumonia and more symptomatic cases coming to hospitals.
Contrary to this, people are going fearless about the deadly disease as the number of people seen moving without wearing face masks is a lot and they are putting their and others life at risk, said Puneet Jamwal, Chairman Civil Society for development of Jammu and Kashmir (CSD JK ).
The CSD chairman requested all citizens to wear face masks irrespective of their age and further said that by wearing mask we not only protect ourselves but others too.
Since now, we are living in corona world and we must opt for good habits of wearing masks to save ourselves and others and we must find the way to ask others to wear their mask to protect themselves and others. Puneet Jamwal also requested municipal authorities to carry on fogging and sanitization on war footing not only in contaminated zones but in all zones so that the spread of the virus could be contained.
He further requested the Jammu Kashmir UT government to set up special squad/teams to penalise persons not wearing masks and not following social distancing as these are best and cheapest way to contain this deadly virus. He further said that the shopkeepers selling duplicate masks and sanitizers should also be booked under the relevant provisions of law.
