Samba, July 17: The inhabitants of W. No. 7 and 8 of Vijaypur Town during the prevailing of COVID restrictions come out of their residences and raised slogan against the Power Department. They told that their transformers have burned due to the load shedding.
The inhabitants told that they are paying the electricity rent regularly but the power supply is not being provided them.
The told that due to the poor power infrastructure the un-necessarily tripping and fluctuation in power and un-precedential curtailment has compelled to face the natural calamity as well as monetary loss as many of the electrical appliances have been damaged due to the un-interrupted supply. The inhabitants at the first instance approached to the office of Executive Engineer, PDD Vijaypur and when found he was not present in the office, the inhabitants went in the office of SDM, Vijaypur. The SDM, Vijaypur assured the inhabitants that their problem shall be solved by upgrading the existing transformers within few days and also assured that the power supply shall be restored within 24 hours. |
