Unhindered popularity of BJP with masses makes the opposition nervous: Brig Gupta
7/22/2020 12:23:51 AM
Early Times Report

Jammu, July 21: Of late the opposition parties in Jammu have launched a no-holdsbarred campaign against the BJP to create a negative image of the party. The truth lies in the fact that these parties are unable to hold their own disillusioned cadre together and feel envious of the Bharatiya Janata Party which has a solid base of Karyakartas from booth levels onwards, asserted Brig Veteran Anil Gupta, Spokesperson of the Party. These power hungry parties are feeling like fish out of water and are displaying their frustration through daily pot shots at BJP rather than taking steps to set their own house in order.
Like the rest of the nation, J&K also is badly affected due to the deadly Corona pandemic which has affected the life of every sole and BJP workers have been in the forefront to share and mitigate the problems of the people. This is what has glued the party with the people who are very aware these days and realise the difference between their true well-wishers and mere “slogan-mongers” or “Dharna –specialists” specialising in disruptive and divisive politics.
“Their pet theme today is Dogras versus outsiders. But when they were in power they did everything to harm not only the interests of the Dogras but also systematically destroyed their heritage and culture. Through a planned conspiracy they tried to change the local demography by settling Rohangiyas and Bangladeshis. They were responsible for the biggest land scam in the form of Roshni Scheme. Many of their leaders even today are facing charges of corruption and amassing illegal wealth even today. How can the people of Jammu forget so easily the way they were not only looted but discriminated as well during their different regimes from 1948-2014,” stated Brig Gupta. Compare this with the sacrifices the cadre and leadership of erstwhile PrajaParishad and BJP have made for the cause of Jammu from hoisting of national flag to abrogation of Articles 35A and 370.
