JAMMU, July 25: JKPCC Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, former MLC has said that the UT administration should issue instructions to put on hold the ongoing process of biometric system in the distribution of ration in view of the threat of corona. In a statement, Sharma said that the UT administration should withhold the process as the people are raising their voice in view of the punching system involved in this system, which is unsafe in view of spike in Covid-19 cases. The consumers are also facing hardships due to 2G services as the system does not work and biometric punching takes lot of time to confirm. The government should be worried about the rising number of Covid cases and the danger to the lives of people from the process and put on the same for few months. |
