NGO- Jiyo Aur Jeene Do conducts plantation drive

Jammu, July 28: NGO Jiyo Aur Jeene Do organized a plantation drive at D I G Office ,Udhampur Reasi range in which many plant saplings were and planted including the Chenar tree which is symbolic plant of Jammu and Kashmir. In the event, Honorable DIG Sujit Kumar Singh IPS along with other staff members enthusiastically took part and appreciated the contribution and efforts of NGO. The President of NGO Tariq Shah, Vice President Parveen Akhter along with Program Secretary Rajesh, Aquib Shah ,Rinku Shah, Bansi Lal and others participated in the event.While speaking in the event, DIG Sujit K Singh appreciated the efforts being taken by NGO in conserving environment. He said,” Taking climate change into consideration, plantation could be of great help to deal with the problems that our future generations are going to face.
The President of NGO Tariq Shah said, We have been planting trees since long back and keep distributing plant saplings also to encourage people plant more and more trees. Today we have organised the plantation event at DIG Udhampur Reasi range Udhampur and we would like to emphasize that we have planted more than one lakh saplings.Our NGO has a target to plant more than more trees in 2020 year. Due to increase in population, construction works the whole environment is getting disturbed.
