After mocking Surankote admn, artists sneak back home, Jammu authorities unaware
Deliberate cover up for COVID-19 absconders

EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, July 29: Though the present COVID 19 scare condition is reaching vulnerable spots in Jammu and Kashmir, the authorities seem to be failing to discharge duties for COVID-19 tests and quarantine procedures, putting to risk many people across the UT.
Already a mess was created by Surankote authorities on July 22 by letting escape a bunch of Jammu artists coming from red and containment zones to sneak into Surankote for illegal film shooting, it has been found that same bunch after knowing about trouble have allegedly overnight escaped back to Jammu giving Jammu authorities a slip too.
District Commissioner Poonch and Sub Divisional Magistrate Surankote who earlier had shown grave concern over artists having committed a crime by dodging COVID-19 test had assured strict action under National Disaster Act by taking them into custody, now after more than a week remained non-committal over the incidence, allegedly wrapping up their failure under the carpet
These artists who have been provoked by Surankote film maker Shahid Kazmi, having a complaint history against him for casting couch and using Jammu artists and duping them of

their hard earned labour in his films, is being charged as a person behind all the crime.
“They will be given entire cover from administration and no authority will check upon them over film shooting in the Poonch district,” said one of his shooting unit persons back in Jammu requesting anonymity.
Once again these handfuls of artists were lured by Kazmi in honey trap who guided them how to clandestinely leave their containment and red zones in Jammu and dodge Surankot COVID-19 test authorities as sources claim he had greased palms of authorities for shooting the film.
It is in place to mention here that if Kazmi managed for these people to reach Surankot and vice versa helped them safe passage back home, this gives ample evidence about this man to be above law and in control of entire administrative apparatus in Jammu as well as Poonch.
After the Poonch authorities failed miserably to contain the crime leading to far and wide spread of disease like Coronavirus, it remains to be seen whether Jammu authorities will wake up to take legal action against Kazmi and his bunch of artists who now have become biggest threat of pandemic in Poonch and Jammu.
