Despite COVID-19 threat, Kishtwar markets witnesses heavy rush ahead of Eid

Kishtwar, July 30:- After a long period of drought in the various business fields due to prevailing COVID 19 situation, business fraternity in Kishtwar district finally get something to cheer about due to heavy rush of customers witnessed on the auspicious occasion of Eid Ul Azha. People since last one week rushes into various shops in town and adjoining areas and buys the essential goods required for Eid ul Azha.
Even though administration has announced various curbs, the markets witnessed hevy rush including Children’s seems busy in shopping along with their parents and were buying Bangles, shoes, sweets, ornamenting, Mendhi and other things.
Heavy rush was also seen at various Bakra markets with people buying animals for sacrifice.
On this occasion various shopkeepers sold their goods on special discount and at reasonable rates.
The administration after meeting with various religious heads and organisations had decided not to allow Eid congressional prayers in mosques and people were advised to offer Eid Nimaz at home, beside several instructions has also been issued to the people with regard to sacrificing of animals and distribution of meat.
Main Eidgah in Kishtwar has also been sealed with barbed wires and security forces has been deployed outside the Eidgah and mosques to prevent the people from offering the Eid prayers at mosques.
