BDC greets people on Raksha Bandhan, urge them to follow covid-19 Sops | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 2: Block Development Chairperson Mandi (BDC) Shamim Ganai extended his greeting to the people on the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan. Raksha Bandhan which he described as "a unique relationship of mutual trust between brothers and sisters and expressed hope that this festival would usher a new era of peace, amity, harmony, progress and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir. He said the annual Buddah Amarnat ji Yatra concludes on this day and devotees pay obeisance at the Holy Cave. He appealed the people to celebrate Raksha bandan occasions by following the SOPs including wearing face masks, regular hand washing, Maintain social distancing, and other necessary protocols owing to the coronavirus disease. He appreciated the people of tehsil mandi for showing a great deal of cooperation in following segregation calendar on business establishments and observance of odd even formula for plying of vehicles. Moreover he also appreciate and recognize the work of Police deptt, civil administration and health workers, who are risking their lives during the pandemic. |
