Man murdered over PUBG scuffle in R S Pura, three arrested | | | EARly Times Report
Jammu, Aug 3: Police on Monday arrested three people for murdering a man over PUBG in Ranbir Singh Pura area here in the outskirts of the city. Station House Officer of Police Station, R S Pura, Inspector Jai Pal Sharma here said that a man identified as Daleep Raj, 31, son of Girdhari Lal of village Badyal Qazian, R S Pura was murdered after a scuffle occurred while playing PUBG game on social media. He said the deceased was attacked by his friends and neighbourers Raj Kumar and Bikram Jeet, both sons of Daya Ram and Rohit Kumar, son of Surinder Kumar, all residents of Badyal Qazian, R S Pura. “The deceased was attacked when he objected to them over some issue while playing PUBG and was hit on his skull with wooden logs,” said the SHO. Daleep died on the spot while all the attackers escaped. The officer said that on receiving information about the incident, a police team led by the SHO under the supervision of SDPO R S Pura, Shabir Khan acted swiftly and carried out rigorous searches in adjoining areas for the accused. “Within 24 hours all the accused persons were arrested,” police said adding that a case has been registered and investigation started.
