Jammu, Aug 8: An NGO Jiyo Aur Jeene Do has hailed the decision taken by District Development Commissioner (DDC) Udhampur banning plastic thread/Manjha.
Tariq Shah welcomed the order passed by DDC that states to completely put a ban on the sale and usage of plastic thread / manjha for kite flying.
“The usage of plastic thread is threat to birds, wild life, environment and human life as well. Yesterday only, in Jammu a man lost his life due to this type of plastic string while riding on a two wheeler”, Shah said.
Aqib Ali, Ejaz , Bansi Lal and others were present in the press conference.
