Pargotra demands detailed inquiry into encroachments by land mafia

SAMBA, Aug 25: Appreciating the role of district administration, police and revenue department in demolishing illegal structure of a stone crusher and bitumen manufacturing unit in Birpur area, the Provincial President of JKNPP Rajesh Pargotra appealed to the LG to constitute a special committee of Revenue officials to conduct a detailed inquiry into similar encroachments by the land mafia.
JKNPP leader Rajesh Pargotra while commending the Deputy Commissioner Samba, SSP Samba and Revenue Department for the demolition of a structure of stone crusher and Bitumen unit belonging to an ex-Minister of the National Conference of Ex-Minister of NC and was installed on the state land and private land of a lady of village Takkar near Birpur said tha activities of the land mafia in the Beil River near Ghagwal, in Basantar River at Samba, Devak River at Vijaypur, Aaik Nallah near Hotel 17 Miles at Nallaha Nealki to Khadhgal Seelam and Nallaha Ballol Bari Brahmana also need to be scrutinized.
Addressing the media persons, Pargotra insinuated that at the time of during the filing of their nomination papers Chandar Parkash Ganga Ex-Minister BJP, S S Salathia Ex Minister of NC, Manjit Singh (defector) Ex-Minister PDP and Ex-MLA of Congress Parkash Ram Sharma who have either encroached the State Land, Gairmumkin Khads and Grave Yards and Crematoria, all these political leaders had shown their immovable and moveable properties on the affidavit submitted by them only in thousands and gold in grams but at present they are in possession of hundreds of crore rupees, dozens of factories and gold in abundance.
He questioned that from where such huge properties came to them? It is only through corruption, misappropriation and illegitimate means in the shape of Land Scam, Pargotra asserted.
