He said that people have suffered a lot due to sudden flood on 26-08-2020 which has created a hell for their lies and they are helpless even to cook their food in their respective homes. He asked Abrol to immediate order and depute revenue officers for conducting a survey to access the losses of people and then to compensate accordingly. He said that some of the families are so helpless that they have shifted to their relatives for their survival. He said that it is the time to rise above everything and extend help to the flood victims.
While mentioning the plight of the people especially Rohi, Rohi Morh, Chatha, Bhour Camp and other adjoining areas, he said that mostly in these places the DPs of 1947 popularly known as PoK refugees are residing and once again they have been uprooted and so please immediate take their care and come to their rescue. The drains and nallahs in Jammu city were seen overflowing due to the flood water. The gushing water of a nallah even washed away a bridge at Dharap near Jeevan Nagar creating connectivity issues for the people.
