SaMaPa digital Baithak continues for 10th week

Jammu, Sept 7: The on-going SaMaPa Digital Baithak series being presented by the SaMaPa (Sopori Academy of Music And Performing Arts) continued in the 10th week.
The first programme of the 10th week featured Flute recital by the eminent Bansuri exponent of India Pandit Rajindra Prasanna of Banaras Gharana. He presented a soulful rendition of Raga Marwa with Aalap, Vilambit Gat in Ektaal and concluded his recital with a Drut Gat in Teentaal.
Earlier another renowned exponent of Flute, Pandit Nityanand Haldipur presented an elaborated introduction to the raga. The other recital of the week featured enthralling Dhrupad recital by Pandit Vionod Kumar Dwivedi along with his son and disciple Ayush Dwivedi who presented Raga Bilaskhani Todi. They were accompanied on the Pakhawaj by Mukesh Dwivedi. The father and son duo presented a detailed Aalap and Jod followed by one of the rarest Dhrupad compositions in 18 beats cycle called Matta Taal. They concluded their recital in Sool Taal. Dr. Santosh Nahar, an eminent Violinist of the country presented an explanatory introduction to the raga. The Baithaks were compered by Sadhna Shrivastav.
