GDC Vijaypur organizes sketching competition

Jammu, Sept 7: Government Degree College (GDC) Vijaypur organized a sketching competition to salute the corona warriors. The main focus of the competition was centered on drawing sketches as a recognition and salutation to the services rendered by these warriors ranging from Doctors, Nurses, Health workers, Sanitation workers, Police and Para-military forces, Media journalists and many others. Students from various Colleges and Universities of the country took part in the initiative and shared their sketches in praise of these Corona Warriors.m The first position was shared by Aakanksha Sharma, SKUAST- Jammu and Poonam Sharma, BMS Institute of Para-Medical Sciences. The second position was shared by Omit Kumar, MAM College; Garima Gupta, SKUAST-Jammu; Manish Ojha, NITS Polytechnic; Megha Sharma, PDCH, Udaipur, Rajasthan and Shivam Khajuria, SMVDU whereas third position was shared by Mansi Rani and Sejal Raina, GCW Parade. Consolations were given to Janvi, KV Samba and Sanyum Kumar, IITM, Murthal, Haryana.
The competition was adjudged by Prof. Anil Bhagat, Dr. Shittal Sharma and Dr. Sunil Mangoch. Dr. Sangeeta Sudan, Principal of the College while hailing the relentless services of all Corona Warriors implored all to pay utmost reverence to all such people who have put their lives in peril to safeguard all of us. She also congratulated the organizers and winners of the event for collaborating to produce such work of arts that can invoke a soothing spell on the mind and the heart troubled by the tough times of Corona pandemic.
