Sanskrit scholar Uttam Chand Pathak passes away

JAMMU, Sept 9: Renowned Sanskrit scholar Dr Uttam Chand Shastri Pathak, father of SSP Shakti Pathak, passed away after a brief illness.
Mahant Rohit Shastri, President Shri Kailakh Jyotish Avim Vedic Sansthan Trust while paying rich tributes to the great scholar said that the demise of Dr Pathak is a great loss to the Sanskrit language, adding that he was the great scholar and has contributed a lot for the development of Sanskrit language and was a legend of the Sanskrit literature.
Dr Uttam Chand Shastri was the resident of Basohli and presently he was the Principal of Chudamani Sanskrit Gurukul at Basohli.
Dr Pathak was a multitalented personality who spent almost whole of his life for the welfare of the community and service of the humanity. The contribution of Dr Uttam Chand Shastri will be remembered forever and sudden demise of Dr Shastri has really shocked the family, friends and his students.
