GDC Vijaypur organises Online Collage Making Competition

Vijaypur, Sept 10: India is facing the COVID-19 pandemic with courage and a spirit of self-reliance that is evident in the fact that from zero production of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) before March 2020, it has rapidly created a capacity of producing over two lakh PPE kits daily.
In the same manner, various automobile sector companies collaborated to produce life-saving ventilators. The clarion call given by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in these testing times to become Atamnirbhar has been well received by all the fellow countrymen to enable the resurgence of the Indian economy. Saluting this resilient spirit of the nation, GDC Vijaypur organized an Online Collage making Competition on the same theme. The purpose of the competition was to reiterate the commitment of the Indians to work towards achieving self-reliance in all sectors in order to provide a fillip to country’s economy. Students from various Colleges and Universities of the country enthusiastically participated in the competition. The first position was shared by Poonam Sharma, BMS Institute of Para Medical Sciences and Shivam Khajuria, SMVDU. The second position was shared by Garima Gupta, SKUAST, Jammu and Meenali, MIET College whereas the third position was shared by Abhinash Singh, GDC Vijaypur and Tanisha Gupta, GGM Science College. Consolation was awarded to Sanyum Kumar, IITM, Murthal, Haryana.
The adjudicators of the competition were Prof. Sushma Chib, Associate Professor, Govt. MAM PG College; Mrs. Bhawna Atri, Senior Marketing Executive, NITCO; Dr. Uday Pathania and Prof. Anil Bhagat, GDC Vijaypur. Dr. Sangeeta Sudan, Principal of the College thanked all the participants for participating whole heartedly and making the event a great success and wished them luck for all future endeavors.
She also maintained that self-reliance is deeply embedded in Indian ethos and culture since eons and all of us need to strive hard in this direction to make our country strong, vibrant and self-reliant.
